CE Directory Privacy Policy

In order to protect your privacy, CE Directory provides this Privacy Policy explaining our online information practices. With this information you can understand and make choices about the way your personal information is collected and used. If you do not agree with the Privacy Policy and our practices, do not sign up as a Buyer or Manufacturer on the CE Directory.

Important Note: If you do not sign up as a Buyer or Manufacturer or Sales Agent, you will not be able to access the features of the CE Directory product listing service.


Please note that children are not eligible to use our services. We ask that minors do not submit any type of personal information to us at any time.


The primary goal in collecting personal information from you is to provide you the products and services you are requesting from CE Directory. To fully use our services, you will need to register using our online registration form, where you will be required to provide us with your contact information. Your current and active email address serves as your unique User ID.  CE Directory does not request, gather, store, or distribute any information that is not essential to the services offered by CE Directory.


CE Directory will ask you to provide us with company and personal contact information. We will use this information to register you as an authorized user of the CE Directory services; to help customize your site experience; and to facilitate communication with the Agents, Advertisers, Manufacturers, or Buyers that sign up as authorized members on the CE Directory site.


Buyers need to sign up to use the CE Directory product search and listings.

We do need some information from you to access certain features of the site; you are asked for limited personal and contact information and are required to use a password that will be used to gain access on subsequent visits to CE Directory.

Users may edit or change their profile at any time. If you wish to delete your personal information use the Contact form and submit a request for your information to be deleted.


Manufacturers need to sign up to use the CE Directory product search and listings and to list their products on CE Directory. Information is required for each product listing to ensure Buyers can understand the product characteristics, ratings, technical specifications of the featured product. The Manufacturer agrees to post accurate and technically valid information for Buyers to assess their products. By posting this information, the Manufacturer acknowledges the free collection and use of this information by registered CE Directory Buyers or Sales Agents or Administrators of CE Directory. This information is essentially public to registered users of CE Directory. Please refer to the CE Directory User Agreement for further information and clarification of the Manufacturers obligations.


By signing up with CE Directory and providing us with your e-mail address you agree to accept essential communication concerning the services and operation of CE Directory including, but not limited to: confirmation, additions or deletions to our core services, notifications of product enhancements, notification of service interruption and changes to this policy. You also agree to allow registered users of the CE Directory to access your email, company and personal information. This is accessible under the Product or Company search system. Registered users of CE Directory will be free to contact Manufacturers by email, in accordance with the User Agreement of CE Directory.

By default, users who sign up are "Opted Out" of all other communications from CE Directory and will not receive any non-essential communications unless you choose to.

As part of the sign up process, and at any time there after, you have the opportunity to opt in to receive non-essential communication, including newsletters and announcements, from CE Directory and third parties. This is facilitated by via e-mail and authorized by you checking the appropriate boxes on the Sign Up / Update / Newsletter Form.

All e-mail communications from CE Directory, or from third parties wishing to contact our users, are sent by CE Directory or a provider under contract to CE Directory. At no time will we ever distribute your e-mail address to another outside or third party marketing company.


The CE Directory website may set Cookies on your computer. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by our web server. Cookies are uniquely generated and assigned to you. CE Directory Cookies can only be read by a web server in the same domain that set the cookie on your computer. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. The primary purpose of the Cookies used by CE Directory is simply to provide convenience and to save you time. CE Directory will use cookies to automate login, enable personalization, facilitate your movement through the site and allow us to measure site usage.

Note: You have the sole ability to control the ability to set cookies on your computer through your web browser privacy settings (i.e. Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, or Internet Explorer). Please Note: If you choose to not accept cookies, you will not be able to customize your experience with CE Directory. This will not in any way reduce the functionality or usage of the website.


CE Directory makes use of web logging and reporting to understand the usage of our services, to diagnose technical issues, and to identify improvements to the CE Directory site. In addition to logging the pages viewed, and features used, our logs also collect referring IP addresses or /domain names of site visitors. This information is used for the internal reporting and market analysis of the CE Directory website only.


CE Directory pages may contain Web Beacons, sometimes called single-pixel gifs that allow CE Directory to count users who have visited certain pages. CE Directory may use web beacons in conjunction with: promotional e-mail messages, online advertising or newsletters. This is done solely to determine the effectiveness of these activities. Web beacons collect a limited set of information including a Cookie (see above section on Cookies), which identifies the referring source, pages viewed and the time of access. Web beacons are not used to access your personal information on CE Directory in any way. Web beacon information is not stored or transmitted to any third party at any time.


CE Directory uses reasonable precautions to keep your confidential user information disclosed to us secure. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place the appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.


CE Directory reserves the right to change this policy as required. A revision notice is placed on this policy to indicate the latest date of changes to this policy.
